Riley is a multidisciplinary urban designer and city strategist with more than a decade of experience and understanding in both planning and urban design. His expertise is focused on complex mixed-use precinct master planning and urban renewal strategy, with strong experience in the housing sector and transport infrastructure. He is an experienced project manager, having produced industry-leading outcomes across a range of local and international projects at every scale of planning, design and delivery. He recently led the team on the Brisbane Airport T3 New Terminal Integrated Precinct Structure Plan, the award-winning Gold Coast Airport Master Plan and the Griffith Nathan Campus Master Plan, giving him a nuanced understanding of the complexities, issues and opportunities facing a broad range of complex mixed-use precincts. Riley is an influential voice in Australia’s planning and housing policy conversation, regularly advising industry bodies and institutions and his writings on the housing crisis have been quoted in the Federal Parliamentary Library. This insight informs Riley’s work in giving him a deep understanding of the drivers that impact the feasibility of housing projects.
