Seeking to deliver a true mixed use building that both relates to and enhances its surrounds, Coonara Developments have devised an iconic addition to the Bondi Junction skyline. A challenging site in a densely populated area of Bondi Junction benefited from the skilful design of Koichi Takada Architects to manage view impacts, overshadowing and improve activation to the public domain.

Urbis worked closely with Coonara Developments, architects and Council to achieve a fruitful outcome for the site that enhances both public and residential amenity supported by a green landscaped transition from the podium to the residential tower as well as active retail and commercial frontages to invigorate the streetscape and public domain. The development application successfully argued a height variation which was supported by a well-considered design and planning justification.
