Nathan is a Partner and co-leader of Urbis’ Foresight, Strategy and Impact practice and specialises in urban strategy, policy and project development. Over the last two decades, Nathan has shaped major infrastructure, precinct, and city-scale initiatives across Australia, Asia and the Middle East. He has supported the development of transformative city and region shaping projects, including multi-billion-dollar urban rail and precincts, major urban regeneration, health, education and energy infrastructure, and assisted national, city and regional policy and program design and development. Nathan excels in leading multidisciplinary teams for high-performing private and public sector clients. He brings a sharp strategic lens to complex project challenges—aligning policy, planning, and investment to enable integrated and commercially viable outcomes. He is a trusted adviser to governments, having previously worked at the highest levels of the Victorian State Government and the Australian Government, including the Federal Minister for Cities, Urban Infrastructure, and Population. With deep expertise in urban systems, market dynamics, and sustainable development, Nathan provides end-to-end project support—from problem definition and early concept development to investment cases and implementation. He helps clients assess policy and regulatory impacts, shape masterplans and project objectives, form investment strategies, unlock funding, and drive long-term, strategic decisions across cities, infrastructure, and precincts.
