Urbis is thrilled to welcome Stephen White as Executive Director and Kathleen Bailey-Lord, FAICD, as Non-Executive Director — two dynamic leaders set to help shape the future of the business and the cities we serve.

Stephen, a Sydney-based Partner, steps into the role following Clare Brown’s tenure.

With more than 23 years of leadership at Urbis, Stephen has been a driving force behind some of Australia’s most exciting urban projects, bringing a combination of deep expertise and a passion for creating communities where people and places thrive.

“I’m genuinely honoured to be elected by the shareholders to join the Urbis board,” Stephen said. “We have built a phenomenal business that continues to evolve to meet our clients’ needs and I’m excited to contribute to our future success”.

She is renowned for her ability to drive meaningful change, guiding organisations to evolve with clarity, courage, and purpose.

“It is a privilege to join such a dynamic, leading firm with wonderful people determined to make a positive difference to our world,” Kathleen said.

“Kathleen has had an extraordinary career, driving transformation within a wide range of industries across Australasia,” said James Tuma, Urbis Managing Partner. “Her unique ability to balance vision with execution will be a huge asset to Urbis’ next phase of growth.”

Both appointments commenced 1 July — and together, Stephen and Kathleen bring fresh vision, energy, and momentum to Urbis’ purpose of shaping Australia’s cities and communities for the better.
